Look: Leather Grain Matte
Feel: It is moderately soft to the touch with good to excellent flexibility. In cold temperatures the flexibility of the webbing is good to excellent. It has a low to medium hand tackiness which makes it easy to grip. The coating’s chactoristics allows for easy sewing and skiving.
Performance: The peel adhesion is good which means the coating requires moderate force to peel away from the webbing. The abrasion-resistance is good which means the coating will abrade moderately with extended use. It has good coating tear strength which means moderate force is required to tear the coating away from itself. It has good to excellent weather resistance which means the color may fade very slightly over time with extended exposure to the elements. It has a selection of colors and profiles.
Application examples: equine lines, leads, bridles
Its similarity to leather combined with high performance, thick coating and non-memory drape makes Beta® 550 ideal for sewing and skiving. Horse lines, horse leads and bridles are just a few of the many applications for Beta® 550 Series belting.
