The Gold Series is BioPlastics’ oldest type of BioThane®. We began our business in 1977 with a standard ½” black webbing used for dog collars. Today, this classic coating comes in two series: Gold 100 for gold opaque colors and Gold 300 for gold translucent colors and many profiles and strengths.
Look: Smooth Gloss
Feel: It is hard to the touch with good flexibility. In cold temperatures the flexibility of the webbing is good. It has a high hand tackiness which makes it easy to grip. The coating characteristics allows for easy cutting, punching and welding
Performance: The peel adhesion ranges from good to excellent which means the coating would require a strong force to peel it away from the webbing. The abrasion-resistance is good to excellent which means the coating will abrade slightly upon extended use. It has excellent coating tear strength which means an excessive force would be required to tear the coating away from itself. It has fair weather resistance which means the color may fade over time with extended exposure to the elements. It has selection of both colors (custom matches available) and profiles.
