Look: "Dressed Leather" Semi-Gloss
Feel: It is hard to the touch with good to excellent flexibility. In cold temperatures the flexibility of the webbing is good. It has a medium hand tackiness which makes it easy to grip. These coating characteristics allow for easy cutting, sewing, riveting and welding.
Performance: The peel adhesion is excellent which means the coating is difficult to peel away from the webbing. The abrasion-resistance is good which means the coating will only experience moderate abrasion with extended use. It has good to excellent coating tear strength which means a strong force is required to tear the coating away from itself. It has good weather resistance which means the color may fade slightly over time with extended exposure to the elements. It has a selection of colors and profiles.
Application examples: equine harnesses
The combination of high performance, adhesiveness, durability and cleanability makes this webbing best for equine harness applications. Semi-gloss BioThane® has a “dressed-leather” finish and is the most realistic synthetic harness material available. It comes in jet black and an embossed surface.
